Director of Smart Brexit, Kyle Taylor, responded to today's report from the Joseph Rowntree Foundation on in-work poverty
"That there are so many hard-working people faced with such insecurity in their day-to-day lives is shocking and they deserve better. Whatever the Government’s plan for Brexit is, fixing this state of deep inequality should be at the heart of it. Any plan the Government puts forward for Brexit must secure people’s jobs and livelihoods while guaranteeing that the wages of those who are already struggling to get by are protected - if the plan doesn’t deliver that then they should go back to the drawing board and think again."
